David Bohnett CyberCenter
Out Youth is proud to host a David Bohnett CyberCenter, one of sixty-three such centers across the United States!
Funded by a grant from the David Bohnett Foundation, Out Youth’s CyberCenter provides computers with broadband internet access so that our youth can stay connected anytime the Drop-In Center is open.
We invite you to stop by during drop-in hours to search for jobs or scholarships, research colleges, and finish homework assignments. Of course, you are also welcome to check your email and Facebook too!
Each of our Windows computers is equipped with a suite of popular internet browsers, Microsoft Office software, and much more. Instructors also bring Apple computers on-site for program-specific uses like filmmaking, graphic design, and music composition.
Out Youth also provides wireless internet access, so feel free to bring your own computer or mobile device to the Drop-In Center. We have plenty of tech-savvy youth and volunteers on-hand to teach basic computer skills or help troubleshoot any technology problems you might encounter.
We hope to upgrade our equipment in the near future and add Apple computers to the CyberCenter so that we can offer graphics-intensive courses like the insideOUT Digital Storytelling Project and You Gotta Have Art on an ongoing basis. Please consider helping us Make it Happenby donating online today.
You can also help expand Out Youth’s CyberCenter by donating your gently-used computers, printers, and external hard drives. Please call the office at 512.419.1233 to arrange a drop-off time.
