The Board of Directors holds ultimate responsibility for Out Youth’s contribution to the community. Board members are responsible in the following key areas:

• Fiduciary – to provide oversight and make sure Out Youth operates responsibly, effectively, and legally
• Generative – to determine what Out Youth stands for and what are its mission, vision, and values.
• Strategic – to determine Out Youth’s broad strategic direction, which guides the day-to-day efforts of the board, staff, and volunteers.
• Leadership – to set an example of commitment to Out Youth’s mission and values within the organization and as an ambassador to the larger community
